AdWords Text Ads

Google advertisers like Bill Muske, have the benefit of reaching a specific target audience at a very reasonable price. Recently Google has announced changes that will take place in the AdWords network that will give advertisers even more opportunities to get their message out. Expanded Text ads are available now and here’s what you need to know:

  1. You will get more space for your message. The new ads feature two headlines and additional characters for descriptions which add up to almost 50% more content.AdwordsExample
  2. Add keywords to your display URL. The address that displays does not have to be “functional” and Google is making it easy for you to add two targeted keywords to let your prospect know that you have what they are looking for.
  3. You need to get started on transitioning. While both the extended text ads and the current ad format are both supported now, starting October 26th you will not be able to create or edit traditional ads. At some time in Q4 or early Q1 2017, old-style ads will stop displaying.
