TRSA CONFERENCE STRENGTHENS INDUSTRY COLLABORATION
Operator member textile services launderers and associate member suppliers offered rave reviews of TRSA’s Annual Conference, September 19-21, and gave especially high marks to the new Executive Exchange, sessions of scheduled one-on-one meetings between operators and associates to discuss future collaboration between them. Universal Unilink staff were happy to participate in the conference and the Executive Exchange.
The event drew 225 textile services professionals, including more than 65 operators from nearly 50 companies. Participating companies in the Exchange numbered about 30 each from the operator and associate memberships.
WORLD EMBLEM CANADA MOVE
As a result of recent growth, World Emblem has relocated their Canadian facility to a new, larger manufacturing plant.
The new office space is approximately 10,000 square feet, which makes it twice the size of their previous location. This location will be producing embroidered patches, sublimated patches and direct embroidery with 46 embroidered heads and two shifts to accommodate the increase in demand from clients.
“Moving to a new and independent building will significantly position World Emblem far better than the competition by giving us the flexibility to reduce customer freight costs and improve turn times by eliminating custom duties” noted Jim Kozel, Vice President of Operations.
The new World Emblem facility is located at 5466 Timberlea Blvd., Unit#2, Mississauga, Ontario L4W 2T7.
